life is what happens to you...

...when you're making other plans.  

The carpet complication ended up being a gift. It made us do a reality check and we came to the conclusion that we need more time to get the house ready. It pushes us farther into the summer for departure than we'd like, but it also means more time for hugs and happy hours with friends we will miss terribly. 

John had some nerve reactions in his hands and arms to all the work he has been doing, and this break from overdrive allows a little recovery for him (though the work continues). 

We're certainly learning that very little is within our control and that we have to be willing to flex for our own sanity.
