tejo anyone?

Tejo is a pre-Colombian sport that may go back 500 years and that can be found in bars sprinkled all around Colombia. We stumbled on a Tejo bar in Salento, Colombia and played a few rounds, coupled with beer, which makes it all the more interesting. Tejo involves a metal puck and four triangle targets that contain gunpowder, known as "mechas," that explode when the puck hits them and the metal ring they rest on.

John caught on instantly. I took a while to hit the triangle filled with gunpowder and sadly, mine never exploded. I did break a piece of the wood wall, though, with one of my terrible throws.
